Bee Halton of “The Bee Writes” has prompted us to “choose our favourite breakup song also stating this of course is an inconsistency. How can you love a heartbreak song? But I believe once we are over the pain some good things come back to us and music often is that good thing.”
As a music lover, it has been very hard to choose just one song. I love music from all generations, and I have a list of 10 songs from every decade that I have been alive from the year I was born 1966 to 2013 and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope that Bee does not get upset that I am breaking the rules because I am sharing all ten of the songs with you in one post as opposed to breaking it into multiple posts. I hope that you enjoy the selections.
1966 – These Boots Were Made for Walking – Nancy Sinatra
1976 – Please Don’t Leave Me this Way – Thelma Houston
1978 – I will Survive – Gloria Gaynor
1989 – The Dance – Garth Brooks
1990 – Nothing Compares to You – Sinead O’Connor
1991 – I Can’t Make You Love Me – Bonnie Raitt
1996 – Don’t Speak – No Doubt
2006 – Irreplaceable – Beyoncé
2007 – Better as a Memory – Kenny Chesney
2013 – Mine Would Be You – Blake Shelton
That’s what’s in “My Rattled Cage”, thanks for stopping by!!

Great choices! And no I do not get upset about breaking the “rules” because they aren’t rules just suggestions. Taking part and having fun is the goal not being hold back by rules 🙋🐝
