#JusJoJan Daily Prompt – January 15th, 2018 – Justice

jjj-2018

This post is part of #JusJoJan Daily Prompt – January 15th, 2018.

So let me preface this with – in no way shape or form do I wish to offend or anger anybody with this post. It is simply what is going on in my head.

I begin with the continuous thread of women coming forward and claiming sexual assault that has been done to them by the politicians, actors, directors, TV hosts and indeed the leader of the free world the Current Occupant of the White House. Let me clarify, I did not vote for the individual and I respect the Office of the Presidency, but I have zero respect for this individual who will lead us into World War III before his first term is up. Let me be clear, I watch a lot of Law & Order Special Victims Unit and other crime shows to know that women, men and children who have been sexually assaulted have issues with reporting because they fear the backlash and not being believed. Even with that being said my biggest issue is with the folks who are coming forward 10, 20, 30, 40 years later to accuse their assaulter. What’s more, all of the most recent incidents that came during and after the Roy Moore fiasco, where were all of these folks when the Bill Cosby saga was going on which is still in litigation and I know one of those women.

So where is the justice in these individuals feeling they cannot come out against their attackers until some story in the news whether political or entertainment-wise triggers something inside them to speak out. There is no justice and what is sad all of these women will never receive justice. The worst part is that the attackers whether they are the leader of the free world, multibillion dollar movie directors, politicians, TV hosts, and actors will never receive their justice that they deserve.

Where is the justice in The United States of America having an occupant in the most important position and home, the Presidency and White House, who has managed to start this country on the road back to the days of the 1960s and before. Where is the justice when this individual can attack the 1st Amendment by always attacking every media outlet except for FOX NEWS which truly is the most biased network in the land because this individual can never do any wrong. Where is the justice when this man can call underdeveloped countries like Haiti and Africa S@#@hole countries and get away with it. Where is this justice when this individual knowingly allowed if not participated in Russia’s meddling in the 2016 elections and thought nothing of it. He still say there was no collusion, that is yet be full determined and in the end I do believe that this great country that I am a citizen of will see JUSTICE when this man is either impeached or he resigns because the proof is to overwhelming for him to stay in office!! I could go on and on about there not being any justice with this person but it would be way too exhausting!!

This is what is in “My Rattled Cage” today!

  1. A teacher decides to let students out early if they can name some quote origins.
Teacher: “Who said ‘Four Score and Seven Years Ago’?”
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, “Abraham Lincoln.””That’s right Susie, you can go home.”
Teacher: “Who said ‘I Have a Dream’?”
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, “Martin Luther King.””That’s right Mary, you can go.”
Teacher: “Who said ‘Ask not, what your country can do for you’?”
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, “John F. Kennedy.””That’s right Nancy, you may also leave.”
The teacher turns her back and Johnny yells in frustration, “I wish those dumb bitches would keep their f***ing mouths shut!”
The teacher turns around and she is livid and yells: “NOW WHO SAID THAT?!”
Johnny replies: “Harvey Weinstein. I’ll see you tomorrow?”

  2. Your first paragraph is great bait!

As a woman I only want to say one thing (because I already wrote my own post in relation to this subject):

Justice will be when we live in a culture where this type of behavior is not acceptable, therefore no longer so ubiquitous.
